Douglas E. Brinley is a retired professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Utah State University and a Ph.D. from BYU. He is the author or coauthor of 16 books, including Between Husband and Wife: Gospel Perspectives on Marital Intimacy, he is also a popular speaker at BYU Education Week. Brother Brinley has served as the president of the Texas Dallas Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife, Geri, are the parents of six children.
Brother Brinley has carefully studied the Book of Mormon, teachings of modern prophets, and recent world events to discover the ten stages of decline through which previous civilizations on the Promised Land of America passed through before their final destruction according to the ancient prophecies.  What lead them to their destruction?  Are we now facing a similar fate?  What stage are we in now?
