This week on the podcast we have Jana French, RN, BSN, MS. Jana started her nursing career in the emergency room (ER) and it was where she was first exposed to the sexual assault nursing specialty.

She started out as a sexual assault nurse examiner and then worked her way up! She now has her own forensic nursing education and consulting company that provides more focused training in specific areas of forensic nursing, that introductory courses may not have covered.

Jana tells us exactly what sexual assault nurses do, what their role is, her perspective on education, working with law enforcement agencies, etc.
