In today's episode, I talk about the importance of overcoming your limiting subconscious beliefs and how these beliefs may be affecting you in ways you don't even realize. I also share how you can start to reprogram these limiting beliefs and turn them into empowering affirmations.
We are not born with limiting beliefs. These are learned. As we grow up, we are surrounded by family and friends and in these formative years, we witness and hear our family and friends express their thoughts and feelings about certain things. They also subject us to beliefs or opinions they have about us. Also, the experiences we have as we grow up with family, in school, with friends impact us in such a profound way.
You have been subjected to certain beliefs by the people around you and you have taken those beliefs on as truths…to the extent that you might not even realize that you are making decisions based on those beliefs.
Exercise you should try doing: use your notes app or a journal to write down the limiting beliefs and thoughts that come up throughout the day. Then, take time to reflect on them and ask yourself where they come from.
