Seja talk to bass player and photographer Luke Henery (Violent Soho) in a rare interview about spending his childhood tripping out about angels and demons in the pentecostal church, tuning a guitar so low he could play bass on it, living on a hill so steep his friends couldn’t get to him and learning how to use his mother’s SLR camera. Luke tells many funny tour stories about accidentally smashing gear, bed bugs, playing for Thurston Moore and Rick Rubin, losing his shoes and touring with 30 Seconds to Mars. He tells Seja about his photography ambitions and how he has just discovered how to develop photographs with beer!
Luke’s story is illustrated by Brisbane artist @tim_rix and can be seen on Instagram at @hearsejpodcast or on the HearSej Facebook page.
