This weeks NICU Series mama went in for her anatomy scan when she was 20 weeks pregnant, excited to confirm their babies gender. Instead, Melissa was told that her little girl had a rare form of dwarfism that came with many medical complexes and a high mortality rate. Throughout their pregnancy they were constantly reminded of all of the negatives that went along with this rare diagnosis, but Melissa and her husband made it their mission to give Paisley the best chance possible... and they are so grateful they did!

Paisley is currently a happy, fiesty, sweet 7 month old who brings her family so much joy. But, as you can imagine, it didn't come without an immeasurable amount of obstacles, terrifying days, and a lot of unknown.

Join us as Melissa shares the highs and lows of their pregnancy, their 183 day NICU stay, and life at home with a medically fragile baby.
