Why is First Impressions Professional Teeth Whitening better than bleaching strips?
Bleaching strips work over a period of time and must be used regularly to maintain optimal results. Strips are meant to lie across straight teeth. If teeth aren’t straight, areas may be missed, resulting in a spotty smile. Moreover, strips are “one-size-fits-all” and must be trimmed to fit your mouth. Chemical burns may occur on the gums if strips are improperly applied.
The professionals at First Impressions apply a powerful but gentle gel to your teeth, using a tiny, versatile brush that reaches every crevice while avoiding sensitive gum tissue. We offer two whitening treatment packages. The STANDARD 80min package consists of 2x 40min sessions under the LED light done back to back at one visit. For maximum whiteness consider our SUPREME 100min package consisting of 2x 50min sessions done at one visit.
We will also take/verify your medical history, assess the condition of your gums, assess the teeth to be whitened, take note of “before” shade, “after” shade & deliver after-care instructions. You can expect the appointment to last approximately 2.5- 3 hours from start to finish depending on the whitening package purchased & the number of people at the appointment.
Because we are equipped with 3 dental chairs & 3 whitening lamps, we can accommodate groups of 2 to 3 simultaneously and offer group discounts. Perfect for bridal party members, girls’ night out event, group “spa” parties etc. (Minimum of 2 clients for a MOBILE whitening appointment booking, please)
Although sensitivity is not an issue for most patients, we offer an optional, five-minute, post treatment procedure (for a nominal fee) that diminishes the possibility of sensitivity while strengthening tooth enamel.
No whitening treatment can promise permanent results. However, you can expect your smile to remain brighter for up to 12-18 months with the regular use of our Whitening Maintenance Pen (available for purchase).
The key to the success of our whitening program is the finest gels- WICKED WHITE - coupled with blue light technology. The process used by First Impressions has been approved by the Canadian Dental Association for both safety and efficacy.
