Mythological stories literally stood the test of time. This live isn't about mythology though. It is about fiction.
Many writers, modern writers took history and mythology that exists. Many of these stories are popular. Whether it is Circe, Achilles or Lord Shiva, people know these stories already. What more can be done here?
Well, three examples of what was done:
1. Analyzing the social and mental toll of being a deity (and a child of one).
2. Heroes are so much more than the stories of their heroism.
3. The process of deification.
Learn from the masters. I cried a lot while reading the Song of Achilles. Why would a pro-peace person cry for someone whose name is synonymous with war? Storytelling!
