Community should be part of every marketing department.
Hell, it should have its own dedicated department but if you're starting out you probably don't have the capital so it's fine if you include it in marketing.
The key point I want to make here is that, as community building veteran and leader Dani Weinstein says, Community is a long-term game that your clients will have to participate in so you have to give it both the necessary time and space to grow.
