At age 19 Laura was a singing waitress at the restuarant. She made her own costume and made her own song selection, Both of which had little to do with 1520.

A few years ago, a small set of Faire/Dickens folk went to a restaurant called 1520 A. D. attracted by the promise of an improv dinner theater experience. Soon Billy Scudder, along with friends from Faire J. Paul Moore, playing Henry VIII, and Q , playing Master Bates the innkeeper, and Joseph Derry, the magician had taken over the production attracted huge crowds eager to sing camp fire classics such as She’s a Coming Around the Mountain When She Comes, and I’m Henry the 8th I Am, or at least publicly fake it lest be caught as non-singer and be cast in the stocks place in a prominent place in the restaurant and them pelted with dinner rolls.             Reviews in Time Magazine and the Lod Angeles Time followed as well as notices of being of the best dinner theater production in the country having the worst food that was easiest to throw.
