来週の木曜日、８月３１日はスーパームーンです。夜、お月見をしませんか。

８月３１日の月は丸くて、大きい月です。満月です。私たちは地球に住んでいますよね。１ヶ月に１回ぐらい、満月を見ます。満月は、地球に近い時と、地球から遠い時があって、近い時の方が大きいです。それがスーパームーンです。

スーパームーンの日に、月をよーく見てください。明るい所と暗い所があります。暗い所はうさぎのシルエットです。うさぎは立って、餅つきをしています。日本には、月にうさぎがいるという伝説があります。みなさんの国にも月のお話がありますか。

日本では、お月見は９月の行事です。９月の満月の日は十五夜と呼ばれています。１５日目の夜という意味です。昔から、十五夜には月見を楽しむ習慣があって、月見の季節にはお団子を飾ったり、食べたりします。

日本のマクドナルドには、毎年、月見バーガーという秋の限定メニューがあります。

In Japan, otsukimi is an event in September, and the full moon day in September is called Jugoya, meaning the 15th night.　　　　Since ancient times, there has been a custom to enjoy moon viewing on the Fifteenth Night, and dango ( sweet round dumplings ) are decorated and eaten during the moon-viewing season.

McDonald's in Japan has a special autumn menu called Tsukimi Burger every year.
