The disciples had just lost their leader a few days ago. They went back to their old life of fishing. A stranger appears on the shore who tells them to try again after fishing all night with no fish. They bring a net full of 153 fish, which should have broken the net. Why so peculiar a number? Does it matter? To me, it makes all the difference in “the world.”
