Today we are presented with a difficult comment by Jesus: “For those who want to save their life will lose it. Those who lose their life, for my sake, will find it.” We discuss how, with self-giving, denying self is not to be confused with denying something to yourself, whether it’s material things or pleasure. But rather, what if denial is saying no to oneself and yes to God?
