Welcome to day 25 of ADHD Awareness Month 2016!
Stephanie joins me today to share a resource for children and adults with ADHD.
It's Occupational Therapy.
An Occupational Therapist (OT) helps with main life activities and, in particular, can provide a thorough activity analysis from which solutions to an individual's struggles can be devised.
STEPHANIE'S AWESOME QUOTE:
"Even if they continue to have problems with attention and ADHD they can learn better self control and more organizational strategies."
OT's consider environmental modifications and prep techniques that focus on function and self-advocacy.
It's all about supporting the person to do for themselves.
