But if it's too quiet, now you're hyper-aware of everything. You take one bite, and it sounds like you just stepped on a bag of chips. And the couple next to you? You now know their entire relationship history. Didn't ask, but here we are. Because great restaurants understand this. Sound isn't background, it's design. And if you get it wrong, people don't relax, they adapt. And no one goes out to dinner to adapt.
