Bammerhab - Words from the Word

16 - Apistos: "Faithless" (Mt. 17:17)

Listen Later

There’s a direct paralell between Jesus’ Transfiguration and Moses on Sinai. Can you see it? But why did Jesus’ response to faithlessness differ from Moses’?

This episode defines the word “apistos” (ἄπιστος meaning: ‘faithless’) in Matthew 17:17.

And Jesus answered, “O faithless and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me.(Matthew 17:17-ESV)
