In Chapter 1 of David Goggins' Can't Hurt Me, Goggins introduces himself and shares his personal story of overcoming adversity and achieving success. He describes his challenging childhood, growing up in a violent and impoverished neighborhood, and how he was able to rise above his circumstances and achieve his goals through hard work and determination. Goggins also discusses the role of pain and suffering in his life, and how he has learned to embrace and overcome these challenges in order to achieve his goals. The chapter sets the stage for the rest of the book, which details Goggins' journey from his challenging upbringing to his successes as a Navy SEAL and ultramarathon runner.
