Jenn's Guide to Being A Grown Up

16. Jenn's Guide to Living Colorfully

Listen Later

Episode 16

I love wearing a lot of colorful clothing, but living colorfully is not just a physical outward expression— it’s about authentically and unapologetically being yourself. You see, you are God’s masterpiece and no one in the world is like you. No one can do what you do the way that you do it. On Episode 16, “Jenn’s Guide to Living Colorfully,” join me as I break down how to break off fear and shine the Kingdom light in the midst of the mundane.

Weekly Scripture

•Scripture - Matthew 5:14-16 (AMP)

“You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Scripture Meditation Questions

•If you are a lampstand, where have you been set? Who are the people you have been placed around that you can shine the light of Christ to?

•The Passion Translation translates verse 15 to say this, “And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light.” Is it possible that you have hidden yourself in an obscure place?

•If you have hidden the light you carry, what are some ways you can come out of the shadows and allow your light to shine? When you do, those around you will see your good deeds and give glory to the Father.
