Dr. Carole Hungerford is a holistic doctor, an organic biodynamic farmer and author of the award winning book, “Good Health in the 21st Century”. Dr. Carole Hungerford is an ACNEM faculty member teaching doctors and health practitioners at the Australasian College of Nutritional & Environmental (ACNEM).
She joins us on the couch at the 3rd International Conference of the Science of Nutrition in Medicine, in Sydney, Australia, to continue our series on “Must-Have Minerals”, this week dealing with the importance of selenium and iodine.
From depleted soils and processed foods these two important mineral impact on every aspect of our mental and physical health. We go into the role of iodine in thyroid function, a problem affecting an every increasing number of people around the world.

Dr Carole Hungerford is a holistic medical practitioner with over 40 years experience. Carole is also a biodynamic organic farmer. She teaches doctors and health professionals all about nutritional and environmental medicine and has helped educate young graduates for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and she is also a fellow of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
