The Path is Always Evolving

#16 - Root Chakra 101 Safety, Survival & Getting Grounded

Listen Later

We kick off the Root (Muladhara) conversation: what it is, how it actually shows up in daily life, and why nearly everyone starts their healing here. Eva connects yoga therapy and nervous-system science with practical tools; Tenya shares real-life reflections on clutter, safety, money, and boundaries. You’ll learn how root imbalances look in bodies, homes, bank accounts, and conversations—and how awareness is the first reset button.

You’ll learn
*Muladhara basics: location, theme (survival/safety), development window (womb–12 months)
*How lower/upper chakras influence each other (e.g., throat ↔ solar plexus)
*Excess vs deficiency patterns (heaviness/materialism vs fear/spacey/restless)
*Why decluttering, earthing, and gratitude soothe the root
*How “I am” language helps (without toxic positivity)
*Why body-based work + energy work + talk therapy play well together

Try-This Toolkit (simple, doable)
Breath + stance: Stand hip-width, feel your feet. Inhale: notice contact with the floor. Exhale: imagine roots down into the earth (30–60s).
Micro-declutter: Clear one surface (desk/nightstand). Notice your body after.
Language shift: Replace “I don’t have…” with “I am supported. I am resourced. I am here.”
Money reframe: Pay a bill with gratitude: “I’m grateful this is covered.” "Other people are paying my bills"
Boundary rep: Practice saying “No.” Full stop. Breathe. No explanation.
