#160 Rice with Roasted Chestnuts - Beginner

Yesterday, we had dinner at home. I made chestnut rice. It was delicious. I love chestnut rice.

It's autumn in the UK. In a park near our house, there are many trees. There are also big chestnut trees. Under the trees, spiky shells have fallen. Inside the shells are chestnuts. Chestnuts are delicious, but it is difficult to eat them. To eat them, you have to remove the skin. Chestnuts have a tough skin. When I want to eat chestnuts, I buy peeled chestnuts at the supermarket. When I cook rice in a rice cooker, I add the peeled chestnuts. I also add a little sake, mirin and soy sauce. Simple and tasty chestnut rice is ready.
