Tales of times gone by that deal with how to select a bride for a prince or a groom for a princess seem to be very thick. As are tales where a kingly father must select one of his sons to succeed him. Its always amusing that there are so many of these stories. But then I guess the nobility wrote down their bedtime stories more often. 

In any case, this is a tale of a Prince and his servant, and the contention that comes between them when on a journey of the kingdom. Its not the normal tale of finding a bride.
