The "problem of pain" forces us to ask why a loving God permits suffering rather than simply waving a magic wand to fix our broken world. God's answer is not to erase the struggle, but to enter it with us on the Cross, empowering us to "give them something to eat" by actively participating in the work of redemption. This New Year, find your true purpose by accepting the adventure of becoming spiritual and emotional sustenance for those around you.
