Georgina Jackson is a British trumpet player and vocalist based near Manchester, England. Known for her powerful lead trumpet playing and engaging stage presence, Georgina has performed on Cunard and P&O cruise ships, led her own touring show, and played with orchestras across Europe including the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra in Denmark. In this conversation, she talks about growing up in Wiggan, discovering music through Frank Sinatra, being mentored by Bobby Shew, navigating a male-dominated industry, and what it takes to perform a one-woman show on rough seas.
