Relationships Let's Talk About It!

165. Money and Relationships

Listen Later

Shaun Rawls - is highly sought-after keynote speaker and author of “F”-IT-LESS -  Rawls spent 25 years working in real estate, ultimately building Atlanta’s #1 residential real estate firm, The Rawls Group of Keller Williams. Having met many of his professional goals, Rawls made a deliberate choice to shift his attention out of the daily operations of his firm and into new ways he could add even more value to others. Through his work and book, Shaun helps other people evaluate and define what’s important for them and outline actions so they can work on being the best version of themselves.

In this episode, Shaun and I discuss different ways of dealing with money in our relationships that can bring us more understanding or further apart. It’s well known that money is one of the most common subjects for couples to argue about so how you talk about money is key. We also touch on concept of “financial infidelity” and why it is detrimental to building trust and reliability and why having shared values and goals around money can be key to building relational health.

“Keeping financial points  in a relationship is a dead end game” - Shaun Rawls
