Welcome back to the second episode of our fledgling track reviews podcast series where Derek, Connor, and myself prattle on about some relatively fresh cuts from artists known and not so well known. Though the series title implies track discussions only, we do leave the gate open for EPs and splits so long as they are relatively brief. In this iteration, we expand our palates to encompass synthwave from Carpenter Brut, bedraggled punk from New Zealand Brian-bashers CATSICK, a suffocating merge of black and death metal from Oakland gloom revelers Dearth, the meteor striking sludge of the intergalactic brute Cyttorak, plus a litany of other timbres.
