Since 2005, he has raised a lot of money (about a billion dollars) helping innovative biopharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical device companies make it through the capital-intensive research and development phases to deliver new and better solutions to the healthcare industry. But what got my attention was when he told me he’s launching a public benefit corporation, called Raising Spirits, that’s dedicated to creating opportunity and
fighting poverty in Latin America with targeted business, community, and educational programs.
