Allen Schaeffer is Executive Director of the Diesel Technology Forum, a not-for profit educational organization of global leaders in advanced diesel engine, equipment, and fuels technology. The Forum’s work focuses on the sustainability of advanced diesel technology in a wide range of applications including commercial vehicle, power generation, marine, rail, construction, and other industrial applications. Schaeffer has helped lead the group since its founding in 2000. He is the forum’s primary spokesperson, and has appeared in reports by The Associated Press, The New York Times, and Automotive News, among others.

He has more than 30 years of experience working with environmental and public health issues, as well as transportation, climate, and energy policy.
