Think of the balls in the jar experiment - if you fill the jar with the littlest balls first, you don’t leave any room for the big ones to be added. You can fit a lot in, but it’s a lot of what doesn’t really matter. Fill the jar with the big ones, the important pieces first and there is air space left over, gaps that the little ones can fill in. This is balance, this is a properly full life.
