In this weeks episode Susan interviews Jim Walters who is on the Board of Directors at Orphan Care Alliance (OCA). It is their mission To equip, connect, and mobilize Christians to serve vulnerable children and families. 

Jim states that they are powered by the Bible verse James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

In this weeks episode Susans interviews Kim and Sean Quinlan who work for the Madison Co. Schools Family Resource Center. Their Mission is to

enhance student ability to succeed in school.

This is a Grant funded program that helps cover students needs.

In this episode Susan interviews Mandy Agee who is the assistant director of God's Outreach.  God's Outreach created the backpack program to help children fill the gap from Friday to Monday. They currently serve 23 schools across Madison and Estill County and fill 3500 backpacks a month. 

This is a program that is near and dear to Susan and her family. Listen in to learn how Susan has partnered with the backpack program.

Kicking off season 2 in 2022 with a goal to help people get involved with local organizations and inspire the to start volunteering. In this weeks episode Susan interviews Anthony Lowery of God's Outreach. God's Outreach started with the mission that no one in Madison County should ever go hungry. Since starting in 2000 they have expanded to surrounding counties.
