This week I have the absolute privilege of speaking with Dr. Blake Buletko, MD in this portion of the podcast titled "The Human Behind the White Coat". We talk about things from the residency application and interview season success, to how mindfulness in residency can shift your perspective to make you a better physician. We go through his personal journey to neurology and medicine and bust the myth that "neurologists don't actually treat patients." And of course, we had to muse over the magic of clinical neurology and the future of the field.
Whether you are going into Neurology or not, this conversation is both subjectively relatable and provides insight to residency application season from the perspective of a program director. One of my favorite things he says is "you are not your application"; exemplifying the holistic application review residency committees are leaning more towards year after year.
