Lost In Postulation

17. An LIP Original Series

Listen Later

This week on LIP, we dive straight into our mundane postulation about the wonderful world of dishwashers (1:30). Yes, dishwashers. We consult a 'dishwasher-ologist' who is in the pocket of 'big-dishwasher' to answer some timeless conundrums. Should you insert your cutlery utensil-side down or up? Are detergent pods more effective than powder? And is dishwasher salt a rip-off?

Then, drawing inspiration from all the current hype around HBO's Succession (10:50) and a listener postulation, we embark on a journey to pitch our own TV series that we would like to see made (17:55). What were the politics behind the Apollo missions and the moon landings (19:10)? Who were the hidden heroes that helped bring down Apartheid in South Africa (43:25)? Will Richard Nixon make an appearance? His dog Checkers maybe? No punches are pulled as we postulate our way to Emmy glory.

As ever, we want to hear from our listeners! Send us your own TV series postulations through our twitter account @InPostulation or via email [email protected]. Feedback, questions and postulations all very welcome!
