When we feel called towards a higher purpose, struggles, fear and doubt set in. Struggles can be intense, and staying productivity for our purpose is challenging. Yet, productivity isn't productive if there's no purpose behind it. We can check things off our list all day long but if these things don't add up to something bigger, if they don't contribute to our "why," then we're not being productive at all. Finding purpose and gaining clarity on the vision we have for our business, careers and/or life is this month's theme and we've been hitting it from all angles; from family mission statements, to purpose-expert Tom Wolf on finding purpose to now, we explore purpose through coaching. I took a little hiatus from coaching clients "on air" over the last few weeks but, now that The Make it Snappy Productivity Show is going through our series on PURPOSE, we all felt like it would be very interesting to broadcast a coaching session, specifically around the topic of purpose. I'm pleased to present to you my coaching session with an extremely purpose-driven individual by the name of Kit Hentz. He's a dear friend of mine, a great man of faith, and guy who felt called to plant a church in this area…the goals of our session was to help provide clarity on Kit's next steps towards going after his calling, his purpose. We dove into Kit's struggles, family dynamics and the fears that set in when you take a leap and go after your purpose. This coaching session was powerful to me because we took that vision, added a bit of clarity, and created logical steps of action, Kit and his family will take to move forward toward his overarching purpose.
