From his website, “Michael is a Casting Director, Educator and Producer based in New York City and dedicated to developing and fostering the growth of new musicals, plays, and film projects.” A pillar of the New York theatre community and great friend to actors young and old, Michael is the resident casting director of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and the National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT,) leading the charge in New Musical development in New York; his company also works with many top regional and off-Broadway theatres, as well as National Tours and film projects.  In this interview, Michael opens up about the role of a casting director and his own journey in the industry, and shares some amazing advice for the “long-haul” actor.
