Connor Bond burst onto the Australian track and field scene in 2022, finishing 10th in the 100m at the Under 20 World Champions where he missed the final by 0.01 seconds. Competing in Open age competition for the first time in the 2022-23 season, the 19 year-old continued to make rapid progress which culminated in a sixth placing in the 100m at the Australian Athletics Championships.
