Lewis talks with Benjamina Bollag (MEng), Co-Founder and CEO of meat company Higher Steaks, using state-of-the-art cell culture techniques to grow meat in the lab for human consumption. Higher Steaks is working on revolutionising how we consume meat, and solving some of the worlds most pressing issues from antibiotic resistance to climate change to animal welfare. The way they do this is through making meat from taking a tiny sample of cells from the animal with no pain or harm. So rather than having to raise and kill an animal which requires a lot of energy and resources, you can grow muscle and fat using different techniques.
