Of Peruvian and indigenous (Quechua) roots, Pierina Alessandra Camarena Pukuwanka is currently doing her Masters in Computer Science in Paris, France. Before that, she graduated from The University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics.

Her experience abroad allowed her to see Peruvian society and its racist limitations from a new perspective, allowing her to accept, be proud and cultivate her indigenous heritage through learning Quechua and acquiring as much knowledge as she can on the history and knowledge of her ancestors.
