#17: Tarzan

Listen Later

The Cru add their own contributions to the Man, the Myth, the Legend: Tarzan.  Stories feature meditations on our modern world; gossip columns; the Kinks; and Tarzan learning how to smile without starting a fight to the death. :)
From Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable:
Tarzan. The foundling who was reared by apers in the Aftican jungle was created in 1912 by the US writer Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875-1950). He has countless adventures in novels and fgilms, in which he communes with animals, rescues damsels in distress and discovers long-lost civilizations.  The first novel of 24 in which he appears is Tarzan of the Apes (1914).
