Peter’s audience has forgotten something, though maybe in a hidden place of the mind so as not totally lost, but, they are encouraged to “…recall both the predictions foretold by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior…”. Simply, they need to remember prophetic predictions and the commandment spoken to them by Jesus, through His apostles.
