This week on The Orphic, Alyssa is joined by her brother-in-law Brandon for quite the discussion on time and cycles. They discuss the origin of calendars, extraterrestrial intervention, and how tracking cycles in history can be viewed as an inherently spiritual/sacred practice. They also talk about the naturally occurring cycle ratios (13:20 vs. 12:60) and how our current calendar and time of New Year is setup a bit unnaturally. The remainder of their discussion focuses on the Mayan calendar— it is a 260 day Tzolkin cycle consisting of 20 13-day wavespells (13x20=260). The Mayan calendar also incorporates grander cycles of consciousness including the 26,000-year precession of the Earth’s axis and the 260 million years it takes for our sun to make a full revolution around the Milky Way galaxy. Alyssa and Brandon close out their conversation by addressing the plasma connections between celestial bodies that dictate their influence on our consciousness, ultimately overriding the minimal effects of classical gravity.
