Even the little children are gazing at me. Have their parents not told them about me? You would think they’d hide their children from me, wouldn’t you? Blimey, I think to myself. I hope they aren’t staying for the main event! Imagine these little poor innocent souls having to see my head plump into a basket!

I hope my executioner lifts my head up after chopping it off - so I can give them a quick cheeky wink for a friendly laugh before I’m done. I’ve never been a fan of these types of beheadings, but what does that matter anymore? Nobody will care about my opinions on capital punishment by the time my head’s gone!

The men walking ahead of me seem to be really enjoying their moment in the spotlight. And I can only imagine the glory that awaits my executioner.
