Can you believe it? 2022 is already knocking at the front door. After everything we went through collectively in 2020, this year brought on some amazing conversations as people felt the urge to open up and express themselves and their new truths. We round out the year by revisiting two of our best episodes, continuing with Amanda Montell.

Sometimes, big questions need to be asked. Who are we as humans? What is our intrinsic value to one another? Why do we want humans by our side? Is it out of desire, obligation, validation, or true necessity? And, what does Amanda Montell have to do with any of this?

In a recent interview with Salon Magazine, Amanda breaks down the way that cultish rhetoric causes us not to empathize with one another or see others as human. We see people as “other” if they don’t align perfectly with our rapidly narrowing ideologies. It’s important to know the cultish language that makes us feel so confident in our own beliefs and that everyone else’s are not only wrong, but morally inferior.
