Scripture: Psalms 40:14; Genesis 40:14; Acts 16:24-25; Isaiah 40:31; Isaiah 30:18 Notes: - Wait on the Lord in times of disappointment and discouragement. - God can be trusted no matter what we face. - Here are some reasons to wait on the Lord: 1). The Lord is with you while you are waiting. Waiting forces you to the fact that you can do nothing without the Lord Jesus. Humble yourself under the hand of Jesus. 2). While we wait patiently on the Lord take this opportunity to watch His glory as He works in the lives of the people around you. Stay close to Jesus while you wait. Share the things that God has done for you in your life.. 3). While waiting on Jesus, sing hymns, pray and give praises to Him. Jesus will break the darkness while you are in a dark place. - While you are waiting just ask yourself how you can serve Jesus during this time. - Do not be idle while waiting. - Get your focus off of what you are waiting for and focus on Jesus. - God's intent is to show you and extend His grace through Jesus in your life.
