Today I discuss a literal impossibility, Soaring global food prices in which indexes are up 4% in the last 12 months, with many food items soaring by 15%, 16% and even 36% over the past 5 years. Still the ruling class tells us inflation is low, from just annual rates of 1.4% in the US to even comically lower reported rates of less than 1% in other Western regions like the UK.
