Overview- Are You Still Satisfied With Christ. 1 Timothy 5:1-16.

Today I teach in depth on Paul’s direction to Timothy on how he should handle those in his congregation who are in need of correction, and on Paul’s direction to Timothy on which widows the church should support and which ones the church should not support.

In this section of scripture, Paul does give some interesting direction to Tim, of the younger widows that the church should not support, and says, for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry, having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith.

Paul is saying there that they wanted to marry because they were no longer satisfied with Jesus Christ.

Can this apply to us today?

Can we ever stop being satisfied with Jesus Christ?

Can we stop believing He is enough for us?

I believe that if it happened to the widows of Paul’s day, then it absolutely could happen to anyone even today.

So I close the sermon with some good questions to think about on this subject.
