In this reading of chapters 41 - 50 of Lightlark by Alex Aster, Isla enters her Dark Girl Phase as she has a depressive episode over the consequences of her own actions. However, she snaps out of it after she is magically saved by a meaningful bird (and Oro). Guess what? He wasn't really betraying her and it turns out that was more nonsense.
