Tonya McKenzie is a California-based public relations and media relations professional helping organizations craft their message, tell their story and gain earned media. Her new book, PR & Media Relations for Small Business Success, teaches the importance of a personal brand through podcasting and other communications platforms.

As the founder and owner of Sand and Shores, Tonya is at the forefront of PR, community issues and topics close to her heart and her community. She is an international speaker, an author and advocate for women and youth. A dynamo on social media who always has something interesting to say. She is also active in her community, serving as a Los Angeles County Commissioner of Alcohol and other Drugs. When she’s not busy with all of that you will find her on the baseball field with her kids.
