The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Turkey, was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was the largest and most magnificent temple in the ancient world, dedicated to the goddess Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, the moon, and childbirth. The temple was built in 560 BC and was destroyed and rebuilt several times throughout history. Today, only ruins remain of the once-great temple, but its legacy lives on.
