Then they get into more info about the leaked details from Colin Trevorrow's Episode IX script, including the concept art. This naturally leads to a discussion about JJ Abrams and his film-making style, including the 2009 Star Trek. They also get in to what's wrong with R-rated Trek and why Discovery isn't everyone's cup of tea. When they get to Star Trek: Picard, though the consensus is that it's a good show, its racial dynamics/politics could use some work. Still, it's nice to have Trek back firmly in the 24th century! So grab a cup of Earl Grey, decaf and "make it so!"
