Robert Rakete was first known to NZers on our small screens on iconic shows like RTR, Countdown, Clash of the Codes and State of the Nation. He was probably best known to Auckland teenagers as the OG breakfast announcer on Mai FM where he became a pioneer of Maori radio. In 2006 he moved his broadcasting talents to The Breeze where he still works with co-host Jeanette Thomas on the #1 music radio breakfast show in the country.

In 2014 he spent time in The Wiggles, as 'the brown Wiggle', a role he reprised in The Wiggles recent 30 year anniversary tour of NZ.
