18. Elsa Charretier (November, Star Wars Adventures, Elsa Charretier’s art book)

Listen Later

Elsa Charretier talks about how her partner got her into reading comic books. This led her down a path that would make her into a comic book illustrator.

During her time in the industry, Elsa has done work on her own indie comics in France. Her first American comics were with IDW on a creator-owned book called The Infinite Loop.

She’s worked on the Star Wars Adventures anthology series for IDW and is currently drawing the NOVEMBER graphic novels with writer Matt Fraction and colorist Matt Hollingsworth.

After sustaining a drawing hand injury, Elsa decided to put out an art book filled with her work. That book is available to buy here: https://www.etsy.com/fr/listing/755157227/artbook-vol1?ref=shop_home_active_1

Elsa talks to Shah about her art background, being self taught, Star Wars, NOVEMBER, her art book, enjoying work, her love of plays and more.
